From Conversation to Action: Building AI Agent Workflows on AWS

How can AI move beyond simply understanding a customer conversation to actually classifying an issue, finding the right context, recommending actions, and routing the case to the right team? In this session, we’ll explore a practical agentic AI workflow on AWS using a customer complaint classification use case. We’ll walk through how a conversation can be transformed into structured decisions using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, Strands Agents, Amazon Transcribe, Knowledge Bases, IAM, and downstream API integrations. The session will cover the architecture behind supervisor and specialised agents, knowledge-grounded classification, severity assessment, evidence and auditability, authentication, and human-in-the-loop controls. We’ll also look at the engineering considerations involved in moving an AI-agent prototype toward a more production-ready workflow. The focus will be on understanding how the pieces work together, the design decisions involved, and the practical lessons developers can apply when building their own agentic AI applications on AWS.
